Testimonials

"The team at Shenandoah was so great to work with, they made the process of getting married on their site easy, answered all our questions, and were responsive whenever we reached out. The team also helped us on the fly when we didn't know what the weather was going to be days and hours before. We had a beautiful wedding and not only the staff that helped us plan but the entire team on site was so kind and excited for us from the set up crew, waiters, bartenders, and even gift shop staff - everyone at Skyland made us feel so special on our big day. It was the best experience!!"

"Getting married at Skyland Resort was the absolute best decision we made in our wedding planning process for so many reasons. For starters, logistically, getting married here takes care of so many decision points: venue for ceremony and reception, housing, transportation, catering, and rentals! Not only were these items checked off the list in terms of decision points, but they were also the best we could have ever hoped for. The ceremony site on the Pinnacle Lawn was absolutely stunning and picturesque, and even though we got married in a rare June heat wave at least 90 degrees, the breeze over the mountain cooled it off nicely. We also had the joy of barn swallows blessing our marriage and swooping through to go feed their babies! The reception venue in the Conference Hall had A/C which was so critical on such a hot day and is stunning with the wood interior and two stone fireplaces. They also have all the dishware, chairs, tables, etc. that you need for both the ceremony and reception. With hotel rooms right on site, it made it easy for our guests, mostly from out of town, to enjoy Shenandoah and not need to travel from a hotel to the venue, they just walked across a parking lot to get back to their beds after the reception. We got so many compliments on the accommodations, from those that stayed in cabins to the ones who stayed in more traditional hotel rooms. The catering was outstanding, again, so many compliments on our food choices! They were also very accommodating of food allergies and dietary restrictions (which we had many). Finally, I just have to give a massive shout out to the staff, they were what made the experience so stress-free! I am a chronic stressor, but the team there was hands down the best customer service individuals I have ever worked with. Not only did they help with planning a timeline and envisioning a set up for the room, they went above and beyond the whole wedding weekend. The Friday before we were doing DIY flower arrangements and the food and beverage manager, Charlie, brought us drinks and made sure we knew we could order food from the restaurant up the hill. He also offered to call it in for us! Then on the wedding day he again brought us water after the ceremony to make sure we were all hydrated in the heat of the day and helped the guys order food for lunch ahead of the ceremony. He also noticed that I did not eat much in the way of food during the reception and made sure to pack an additional meal for me. Madison was also amazing, rearranging the set up of the reception tables quite a few times while I tried to figure out my vision for the space and helped make sure we had everything we needed for our special day. I really cannot recommend getting married in Shenandoah National Park enough! It was truly the perfect setting and the staff made it even better, treating our day like it was their own, aiming to make it as perfect as possible! On top of that, everything there was really reasonably priced as far as weddings go. We are so thankful that we found this venue and we booked here, our day would not have been as perfect as it was anywhere else!"

"We were recently married in Shenandoah National Park at the end of September. Our wedding ceremony and reception both took place at the Skyland Resort. Our experience from the early planning, blocking rooms for guests, selecting our menu, decorating and the day of set up was wonderful. All of our questions and requests were promptly responded to and fulfilled. I can't say enough about the staff and coordinators that we worked with. They were all so kind and helpful. They went the extra mile to make our day special and what we had in mind. We experienced inclement weather and Brandon was wonderful the day before and day of helping us adjust a few things and reassured us it would all be perfect. The food was also amazing! Everything we selected for our tasting and on the day was delicious and all our guests commented on it as well. Thank you for making our day spectacular!"

"My partner and I had an excellent experience at Skyland! The staff were very patient as we made adjustments to our plans throughout the process. The whole affair went off smoothly and the ceremony was beautiful!"
