This album includes two self-written songs that hit the Top 10 on the nationwide Christian Country Top 100 in 2009. In 2010, Glen opened for Tanya Tucker, Joe Nichols, Darryl Worley, Little Texas, and Rhonda Vincent. In March 2010, self-written "Help Me to Stand" hit #2 on the nationwide Christian Country Top 100. In May 2010, "Help Me to Stand" hit #12 on the nationwide Power Source Country Top 20. Glen has also been nominated for the ICM (Inspirational Country Music) Songwriter of the Year and New Artist of the Year, and the ICGMA (International Country Gospel Music Association) Male Horizon and Crossover Artist. Shenandoah Valley Cloggers
The Shenandoah Valley Cloggers Inc., formed in 1984, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of Appalachian clogging, a distinctive form of American folk dance, which encompasses many different traditions of step dances with Scottish, English, Dutch and German roots. To entertain a variety of ages, the troupe’s music includes everything from bluegrass, to country, to pop, to old time rock ‘n’ roll. Since 1984, the troupe has been performing Tuesday evenings from April through October at Skyland in Shenandoah National Park. The troupe is made up of 14 dancers, ranging in age from mid-20s to late 60s, all focused on their love of clogging and the enjoyment of entertaining.
1:00 - 2:00 PM
Nikki Dovel is a singer/songwriter from the Shenandoah Valley. Growing up in a family of professional musicians, she has had opportunities to share the stage with some legendary artists such as Loretta Lynn, Randy Travis, T Graham Brown, and Colin Raye to name a few.
2:15 - 3:15 PM
Davis Bradley Bluegrass
Kathy Davis and Bradley A. Bishop are a Bluegrass duo that offer smooth harmonies with an acoustic blend created by a musical chemistry that they share. They have teamed up to present a one of a kind musical experience that is exciting, entertaining, and offers something for everyone!
3:30 - 4:30 PM
The Natural Grass Band was formed in the summer of 2006. After “jamming” with musicians from both sides of the Blue Ridge, Debbie Zinn brought some of her “music buddies” together to perform throughout the northwestern region of Virginia. Natural Grass’ repertoire consists mainly of traditional bluegrass favorites from many years ago, from the likes of Bill Monroe, Reno & Smiley and the Stanley Brothers to name a few. They have performed at various events over the years including festivals, conference retreats, banquets, cookouts and church events.
