Weather permitting, horseback and pony rides are available throughout the day, offering a chance to experience the park's beauty on a guided, one-hour ride. Departing from the stables, your journey takes you across Skyline Drive and into the heart of Shenandoah's natural wonders. Meander past the historic Limberlost area and through the enchanting corridors of an old apple orchard. It’s a quiet ride and a beautiful way to explore the park.

Ride Rates:

  • 1 Hour Ride - $59.99 plus tax per person

1 Hour Ride Departures:

  • Mon-Thurs: 9:45 AM; 11 AM; 1:15 PM; 2:30 PM
  • Fri-Sun: 8:30 AM; 9:45 AM; 11 AM; 1:15 PM; 2:30 PM

Important Guidelines:

  • Must be at least 4'10" tall and weigh less than 250 lbs.
  • No open-toed shoes or high heels.
  • Helmets must be worn.
  • Must be at stables 30 minutes prior to departure time.

Reservations are not required, but rides are unavailable 12:00 - 1:00 PM.

Ride Rates:

  • $7.99 plus tax per child for 15 minutes
  • $13.99 plus tax per child for 30 minutes

  • Child's feet must reach the stirrups.
  • Helmets must be worn.
